How to order depends on what type of book you want and where it is placed. Below you can see how to order different books depending on type, location and status:
a) Books placed in closed stacks
Books which are placed in closed stacks must be ordered. On the right side of the page there is a brown button, Request this item. Click it to start the request process.
b) Available books placed on open stacks
Tillgängliga course-/method books cannot be ordered, but must be picked up from the shelf.
Books placed on open shelf at a faculty library (e.g. all books that are neither reference books nor course-/method books) or in the Open Collection (ÖS) at the University Library, can be picked up directly at the library. The book can also be requested, but not to the library owning the book. Click Request this item and choose a library in the next step.
c) Checked out books
If a book already has been checked out you can queue for it by clicking Queue for all items. You cannot choose to queue for a specific item, but will be sent the first item returning while you hold the first place in the queue.
When you have clicked on the request/queue button, you will be prompted to login (if you have not already). After that you need to choose the library where you want to collect the book. Finalise the request by clicking on Submit request. You will get an email message when the book is ready for pickup.
Please not that you cannot order a book that can only be read in house to another library.
