- Everything published before year 1900
- Fragile and unwieldy material
- Magazines without binding
- Everyday print (e.g. flyers)
- Printed newspapers
- Maps
- Material belonging to the special collections
- Illustrations and photographs
- Scriptures made by hand (e.d. diaries)
