The search results in LUBsearch are ranked according to the criterias below.
Your search term is found in:
- the subjects headings
- the title
- author-supplied keywords
- keywords within abstracts
Exact title matches have the highest rank, but a document can also be ranked high if the search term is frequently used in for example the subject headings or abstract.
Other factors that have influence on the ranking is:
- Publishing date (more recent articles will rank higher)
- Length of article (when other factors are equal, a shorter article is considered less valuable)
